Privacy defined

Privacy can be summed up in one word: trust.

The dictionary* says this about trust:

1 a : assured reliance on the character, ability, strength, or truth of someone or something b : one in which confidence is placed

Internet Privacy: Before you submit personal information to anyone, on the Internet or elsewhere, you should be certain that the information will be held in trust and used only in ways that you have authorized.

You should also confirm that your personal information will not be transferred or sold to any third party without your consent.
